IncrediMail Ltd. (NASDAQ: MAIL) is an Israeli company that develops and markets e-mail client programs and other personal desktop software for the consumer and home user markets.

IncrediMail was founded in 1999 by cousins Yaron and Ofer Adler, and in 2000 received $3.3 million investment from private and institutional sources.[1], and issued an IPO in January 2006 on NASDAQ[2] and opened its New York office in June of the same year. In 2008 IncrediMail signed an AdSense Direct deal with Google.[3]. It currently employs approximately 130 people, and has offices in Tel Aviv and New York.

IncrediMail's first product was IncrediMail XE, which was distributed free of charge and was supported by advertising revenue. In 2001 the company released IncrediMail Premium, which remains one of its main products. The company also produces desktop applications, web properties and subscription-based web sites, many of them based on IncrediMail XE. The company distributes some of its software free of charge. It generates revenue by selling premium software products and services, licensing products to and co-branding with third party websites, selling paid advertising and sponsored links, and the AdSense deal with Google.

As of March 2009, IncrediMail claims 80 million downloads of its programs in over 100 countries, and reported Q4 2008 revenue of $6.1 million.[4]. On March 25, 2009, its board approved a buy back of up to $1 million worth of shares by the company, on top of approximately 335,000 shares which had previously been purchased.[5]

The company faces competition with major email software companies that sell or freely distribute to the consumer segment, such as America Online, Mozilla, and Microsoft. Similarly, IncrediMail competes with web-based email companies including Google, Yahoo and Microsoft, and with specialized providers of email services, including Hotbar and WikMail, as well as with companies that produce graphics for email programs, such as American Greetings and IAC/InterActiveCorp.
