Source: Jennifer Lopez to Join 'American Idol' Judging Panel

Jenny from the block is going to take undiscovered talent from their own hometown blocks and turn them into blockbuster successes. Multiple sources confirmed to "The Insider" on Thursday night that a deal is signed, sealed, and delivered for Jennifer Lopez to permanently preside as a judge on "American Idol." Back in 2007, JLo mentored "Idol" contestants and will now be returning to the show for good to nurture contestants week in and week out during their season 10 journey to be crowned the next "American Idol." "American Idol" told "The Insider" they have "no comment on any of the rumors or speculation." The judging panel of the music competition show is playing musical chairs. Ellen DeGeneres announced Thursday afternoon that she’s bowing out after only judging one season, citing that it "didn't feel like the right fit." Simon Cowell also won't be returning to the hit FOX reality show. Season 10 auditions are currently taking place in a nationwide search for talent.

"Especially, like, my hair. I became like a trendsetter ... I see girls out there looking like me all the time." Even so, the reality star still wants to stand out. "It's flattering," she adds, "but I like to be different -- so I'm definitely going to change it up a lot." Not only is she sporting a new style, but also a new color! Ryan Seacrest Says He'll Miss Ellen DeGeneres on 'American Idol'

Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson will be the only two founding fathers of "American Idol" left when the show returns for season 10. The host offered his sentiments to the departing Ellen DeGeneres. "Spoke with Ellen DeGeneres tonight. I will miss her on 'Idol,' Ryan tweeted. “She's one of the kindest and most talented people in Hollywood!" The heartfelt message was posted just hours following Ellen's announcement she'd be stepping down as a judge on "Idol" after only one year on the panel. Thursday night also brought news that Jennifer Lopez will be getting a permanent seat at the judge's table, multiple sources confirmed to "The Insider". Back in January, original judge Simon Cowell declared season nine as his final on the show.

Jill Biden to Make Cameo on 'Army Wives'

Vice President Joe Biden's wife, Dr. Jill Biden, will be playing herself in an upcoming episode of "Army Wives," according to the Associated Press. In the guest role, Biden will pay a visit to Fort Marshall. She'll discuss issues facing military families and help to raise their spirits. "I'm proud to be here today as a second lady, but I'm even more proud to be here as a military mom," she told the crowd. Biden is empathetic to the challenges facing families with loved ones enlisted in the armed forces. Her son Beau returned home last year after a one year stint in Iraq. He served as a member of the Army National Guard. During her short stay on base, she emphasized that it's integral to build "stronger ties between our civilian and military communities…Although only one percent of Americans are fighting our wars today, we need 100 percent of Americans to support them and their families." To give the show an authentic touch, real-life wives of soldiers will also appear on the August 8 episode. Titled, "Mud, Sweat and Tears," the Vice Presidential family will host a special screening on Thursday night at Fort Belvoir in Virginia, according to the AP. "Army Wives" airs Sundays on Lifetime at 10p.m.
