Tea Party Protest Draws A Crowd In Greeneville

A crowd of around 100 gathered at the courthouse steps in Greene County Thursday afternoon to voice their concerns about government action and inaction.

The “Tea Party” held in downtown Greeneville drew those who are not happy with taxes, socialized medicine and infringement of their personal freedoms. Many of those at the party made their own signs to help voice their displeasure.

This event is one of several similar happening in our region over the next several days.

Teaparties, like voting, would be illegal IF they actually made any difference.

Rest assured, those in power don’t give a flying fig what you think.
